When chatting on Shopee Seller Chat, there may be times when you receive messages that are inappropriate or offensive. For your own safety, you may report or block the users who send you such messages.

📍 Definitions

Report: When you report a user, Shopee will be notified for investigation. Action will be taken against the user, if needed. Unless their account is blocked in our system, you will still be able to receive messages from them and send them messages.

Block: When you block a user, you will not be able to receive, or send them any messages. Blocked users will no longer be allowed to purchase products from your shop. For ongoing orders, you will still have to fulfill and complete the existing orders.

Reporting and blocking users

Shopee App:

Select the chat with the relevant user. Select themore optionsicon, then Report this user or Block user.

Seller Centre and Shopee Webchat:

Select the chat with the relevant user. Select the username of the individual you are chatting with, then Report or Block user.

⚠️ Note

If you want to provide more specific details on the user’s misconduct, you can contact Shopee Customer Service.

Viewing list of blocked users

Shopee App:

Go to the Me tab. Select the Settings icon and then Blocked Users.

Seller Centre:

Select Setting in the sidebar menu and then Shop Settings. Go to Chat Settings and Expand to see your list of Blocked Users.

Unblocking users

You can unblock users to start sending them messages or to receive messages from them again. On both the Shopee App and Seller Centre, repeat the steps under Viewing list of blocked users. Then, Unmute the relevant user.
