What is a Split Order Feature?


It is a feature that allows sellers to split the orders into multiple packages at the SKU level in Seller Centre or via Open API (for selected sellers only). Each package will have a dedicated tracking number after being processed.


The buyer will be notified that the order has been split into multiple packages. Order status and shipment logistic status will be updated and notified separately based on package level via push notifications.


How will this feature help sellers?


This feature will help sellers who are currently facing challenges in order fulfilment:

  1. A seller who has multiple warehouses and has to transfer stock from one warehouse to another before being able to fulfil the order.
  2. Package oversized or overweight due to multiple SKUs purchased in one order.

How to split my orders?


Step1: Go to (1) My Shipment > (2) To Ship > (3) Split Order

Step 2: Select specific SKU(s) to be included in each package (max 5 packages).

  1. SKUs under bundle deal and add on deal are not able to split into different packages.
  2. Order cannot be split if buyers purchase multiple same items in the same variation.
  3. For example, a buyer purchased 3 units of printers (same variation) -it cannot be split.
  4. Orders cannot be split if it is made by an overseas buyer.

Sellers can identify overseas buyers via buyer's username, and buyer's name (i.e. username showing "scommercetrading", or buyer's name showing "Shopee International Platform" - if seller is participating in Shopee International Program).

How to undo the split orders?


Go to (1) My Shipment > (2) Undo Split order


Undo only applicable if none of the packages has been arranged for shipment yet.

The process of undo/split order can be done for an unlimited time before the order is arranged.

How to process my split orders?


The process flow is the same as usual.

  1. There will be a tag indicating the package level under both (1) single process and (2) mass ship.
  2. Sellers can update different pickup addresses for each package.

Split Order Feature FAQS


1. How does Shopee calculate the shipping fee for the split order?


The split order shipping fee is calculated based on package level (per tracking number). Shipping fees incurred from the separated packages will be charged & fully absorbed by the seller.


The below table demonstrates how the actual shipping fees will be charged:

⚠️Note

Buyer will only pay the shipping fees based on order level as split order will only happen after payment is made. For more information about shipping rate, refer HERE.


2. When can sellers use this function to split orders?


Sellers can only split parcels if there are 2 different products in 1 order.

E.g. The buyer placed an order for product A & product B, the seller can split the order into Package 1 & Package 2.


If the Variation SKU is the same, then the seller won't be able to split orders.

E.g. The buyer placed an order for 2x product A. The seller cannot split the 2x product A into Package 1 & Package 2, Bundle Deal & Add-On Deal also cannot be split.


Sellers will not be able to split the order if any of the packages do not meet the minimum weight required of the logistics provider company. (if any)


E.g. The buyer placed an order for product A and product B, and the order was fulfilled by The Lorry. Sellers cannot split the order into Package 1 and Package 2 if any one of the packages are below 20kg (The Lorry's minimum weight requirement).


Only orders made by local buyers can be split. If the order is from an overseas buyer, sellers will not be able to split the order. Sellers can identify overseas buyers via buyer's username, and buyer's name (i.e. username showing "scommercetrading", or buyer's name showing "Shopee International Platform" - if seller is participating in Shopee International Program).


3. Can the seller update the pickup address for each package?


Yes, the seller can update the pickup address for each package.


4. Can the seller cancel the individual package?


No. For order cancellation, the seller is only allowed to cancel the entire order


5. When will the payment be released to the seller?


Payment will only be released when the entire order reaches its end state


6. How does the return refund work in the split order?


The return refund flow for the split order will be the same as the usual order. Buyer can only raise Return/Refund once per order even if the order is split into multiple packages. Once any Return/Refund is completed, the buyer can no longer raise any more Return/Refund.


However, there are few things that seller can take note of:


1. Buyer is not able to raise Return/Refund if the order has not reached Estimated Delivery Date even when one of the packages have been delivered.

2. Only if both packages are delivered, buyers can raise a Return/Refund even before the Estimated Delivery Date.

7. How is the Late Shipment Rate (LSR) calculated for split orders?


The late shipment rate is calculated based on order level.

For example, package 1 shipped on time, package 2 shipped late. -This order will be calculated as a late order.


8. How is the Non-Fulfillment Rate (NFR) calculated for split orders?


The non-fulfilment rate is calculated based on order level.

For example, package 1 delivered, package 2 returned by the buyer. -This order will be calculated as a non-fulfilled order.


9. How is Ship by date (SBD) calculated for split orders?


Ship by date is calculated based on order level.


Scenario 1: Both packages are non-pre-order

Order paid on 5 April 2021. Both packages must be shipped out before 7 April 2021 (Days to Ship = 2 days).


Scenario 2: Package 1 is pre-order 7 days, Package 2 is non-pre-order

Order paid on 5 April 2021. Both packages must be shipped out before 14 April 2021 (Days to Ship = 7 days).

If buyers extend the Shopee Guarantee period, it would be on the order level as well.


10. How is the Average Preparation Time (APT) calculated for split orders?


Average preparation time is calculated at the package level.

For example, package 1 paid on 5 April 2021 12:00 pm , shipped on 6 April 2021 12:00 pm (APT = 1 day), package 2 paid on 5 April 2021 1:00 pm, shipped on 5 April 2021 9:00 pm (APT = 0.33 days).




KESAN KEPADA DROPSHIP

Kesan kepada dropship ialah apabila anda memasukkan beberapa syarikat dropship ke dalam akaun Shopee anda dan apabila ada pembelian anda terpaksa pecahkan pakej tersebut kepada split order. Biasanya melalui pengalaman saya ialah Shopee akan terus membuat Split Order dalam sistem mereka berdasarkan SKU anda yang berbeza. JIka tiada akan kena membuat pecahan split order anda sendiri. Bagaimana hendak membuat split order - KLIK SINI Sebaiknya jika anda mempunyai banyak dropship dalam satu kedai, baik anda mohon awal SPLIT ORDER ini terlebih dahulu. Sekarang ini ia hanya berikan pada Shopee Seller yang terpilih - MOHON SPLIT ORDER

Bagaimana dengan kos penghantaran?

Yuran penghantaran pesanan berpecah dikira berdasarkan tahap pakej (setiap nombor penjejakan). Kos penghantaran yang ditanggung daripada pakej yang diasingkan akan dicaj & diserap sepenuhnya oleh penjual. Pembeli hanya akan membayar yuran penghantaran berdasarkan tahap pesanan kerana pesanan berpecah hanya akan berlaku selepas pembayaran dibuat. Inilah masalah anda dan jika sebagai dropship, dengan margin untung tak seberapa dan anda kena ambil top up shipping kos untuk spilt order tersebut maka ia akan merugikan anda

APA PERLU ANDA BUAT?

Syarat pertama ialah sebelum anda memilih dropship pilihan anda pastikan setiap dropship mempunyai niche yang berbeza. Atau pastikan setiap produk yang dimasukkan ke kedai Shopee anda berlainan kategori. Sebagai contoh, jika 2 dropship mempunyai kategori home decor maka anda harus memilih yang manakah dropship TUDUNGSICOMEL untuk anda masukkan ke dalam kedai Shopee anda ini. Anda tidak boleh memilih kategori yang sama ke dalam kedai Shopee anda. Jangan terlalu ghairah memasukkan produk yang sama ke dalam kedai Shopee anda dan jika anda jualan maka anda terpaksa membuat spiit order. Lainlah jika margin untung anda 50% ke atas dan anda boleh telan kos shipping tapi masih menjana keuntungan. Walaupun perkara sebegini jarang berlaku tetapi ia pasti akan berlaku jika dua dropship anda mempunyai niche yang sama.
